Lonely woman calls for help
A woman who is living alone in Thanh Hoa Province is in need of financial support to cover medical treatment after a traffic accident.
Hong suffers from serious injuries after a train accident 20 years ago. Her legs are paralysed and Hong also has kidney stones. After the accident, Hong said she thought of dying many times but her love for her parents makes her struggle to live on. She often has to lie face down because of ulcer area on the tailbone.
Hong's sister died long ago and her brother already went to the southern region to find jobs. Hong mostly depends on the monthly allowance and kindness of the neighbours to live.
"I also have to spend money on taxis whenever I have to go to the hospital. Sometimes I got help from other people at the hospital," Hong said. "I have run out of all money lately. The pain is getting worse but I can do nothing but wait."
Her niece tried to help her by giving her fish sauce bottles to sell in the village. But the pain is getting too severe for her to get up.
"I don't have parents or siblings by my side. During times like this, I just want to die then," she said.
