Quan Van Tuyen from Tay ethnic minority group in Chiem Hoa District's Tan My Commune was suddenly diagnosed with the disease while working in Vinh Phuc Province. 

Quan Thi Ngam, Tuyen's mother, said that her son had been facing high fever over the past two days; however, the family has not yet borrowed enough money to take him to hospital.

Tuyen came to Vinh Phuc to work to earn money to support the family. 

In June last year, he saw high fever and then found ganglia. After being hospitalised to different local hospitals, he was moved to Bach Mai Hospital and then the National Institute of Haematology and Blood Transfusion for treatment. 

However, due to financial hardship, he left the Hanoi hospital to return to a local hospital and come back home to reduce costs. 

His parents have borrowed money from different sources to cover the treatment. 

Since staying at home, his condition has dramatically worsened. 

Quan Van Tham, deputy chairman of Tan My Commune People's Committee, said that Tuyen's family were among the poorest households in the locality.
