More donations for flood victims

Dantri/DTiNews readers have sent more donations to help flood victims in the central region.

  

An Binh Hydropower Plant Company donates to the flood victims.


On November 12, Nguyen Thi Kim Dung and Tran Thanh My from An Binh Hydropower Plant Company transferred VND49,070,000 (USD2,100) to help people in the central region. Dung said she often followed the news about storms and flood in the central region.

"Dantri's charity work is really meaningful and the employees at our company also want to contribute something to help those in need," she said.

As of November 9, the readers donated nearly VND3 billion (USD129,000) to people in the central region. The Editor-in-chief Pham Tuan Anh also donated VND3 billion from Dantri's charity fund.


  

Truong Hai International Company, transferred VND61m (USD2,600) to the central region.


The support programme will be carried out in two phases. In the first phase, over VND1bn (USD43,000) will be transferred directly to affected households.

In the second phase, resettlement support will be carried out with help from other people and local authorities. A plan to build 50 floating houses for the people in Tan Hoa and Minh Hoa communes, Quang Binh Provine, has been made. Dantri will help to repair schools and bridges damaged by the flood.


  

Dinh Cao Thang and friends donate VND40m to the flood victims.


Nguyen Van Hai, deputy director of Truong Hai International Company, transferred VND61m (USD2,600) to the central region.

"VND50m are from our company's fund and VND11m are donated by our employees. Even though it's not much, it's our heart to the central region," he said. "We want to help flood victims rebuild their lives through Dantri because of the reputation from various charity activities before."


 

Trong Tan Transportation Company in HCM City donated VND34.4m.


On November 5, Trong Tan Transportation Company in HCM City donated VND34.4m which is the contribution from the director board, employees and the company's partners.

"We are also having some difficulties due to Covid-19. But everyone feels like we have to do something to help the people in the central region," the company director Tran Thanh Doan said.
