Duong Ha Bich Nhung is the youngest daughter of Duong Duc Manh and Tu Anh. Even though she is only two years old, she has been through three chemotherapy sessions and a bone marrow transplant is her only hope. However, her family can't afford the VND400m (USD17,391) costs.

Both Nhung's parents are workers with little income. Nhung's father had sold their land and borrowed everywhere but it was only enough to pay hospital charges for one year.

After one year at Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital, they mostly depended on charity meals to get by. They were sometimes given money by kind people. But Nhung's condition suddenly worsened and she was recently transferred to Ho Chi Minh City Haematology and Blood Transfusion Hospital. The family has to pay VND15m (USD645) to VND20m for her treatment every week.

The mother, Tu Anh, cries when talking about her daughter's condition.

"We already borrowed lots of money for her. But I only need her to be healthy again, I'll work hard to repay all debts," the father said.
