Residents at Binh Duong Centre for Social Protection receive Tet gifts
Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngọc Dung visited and gave presents to people at the Binh Duong Centre for Social Protection on January 19.
He went on to say that they were preparing more space to receive more homeless people for Tet and the first full moon festival. VND72.2m (USD3,100) have been used to prepare clothes and footwear for their residents and VND12m will be used on food for lunar new year’s eve. According to Resolution 62 issued on January 21, support of VND500,000 per person will be given to the residents. A VND163,500,000 fund will be used for food for the first to the fourth day of lunar January.
"Social security work, care for the poor and those who contributed to the revolution are always an important task. The leaders of the country always visit and offer new year greetings and gifts to policy beneficiaries and the poor based on the idea that Tet is for everyone," he said.
