A makeshift bridge built at Quan Village
60-year-old Luong Thuyet Minh said they had to wade through the stream to get to the other bank to the fields, workplaces and schools and it's a difficult trip when it rains. During the rainy season, the students can't cross the stream and have to stay home.
"For the past few years, the water levels rose very high during the rainy season. We just want a bridge to travel more easily and the children can get to school more safely," he said.
Sometimes the bridge was damaged by the flood
The local authorities used cement pieces to create a make-shift bridge for the people in Quan Village. But the pieces were sometimes swept away by the flood.
"We hope kind people will help build a new bridge for Quan Village so that the villagers can go to work and schools more safely," Thanh said.
