Readers help Thai Binh family overcome difficulties
Dantri/DTiNews readers have sent over VND400m to support a family in Thai Binh Province to cover medical treatment for their ill son.
Her husband was too shocked and depressed that he was admitted to the hospital. When their son was well enough to leave the intubation, he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. That night, Thuy picked up her son and began to aimlessly wander. Her family found her on the street at 2 am.
Thuy and her husband borrowed money everywhere and brought their son to the National Hospital of Acupuncture in Hanoi.
On June 8, Dantri representatives transferred VND403,748,808 (USD17,500) to the family of Thuy.
Thuy thanked the readers, doctors and everyone that helped her family. Thuy said they had been able to continue the treatment for her son. His health has improved greatly and he was able to go home on June 8. He still has to go to the hospital for check-ups and continue his treatment in 20 days.
"We received everyone's help when we were in such a tough time and didn't know where to borrow money anymore, we are really grateful," she said.
