Anh Ngoc’s mother Pham Thi Hoi, 26, also has heart problems. Hoi said that due to her bad health she did not get married. She met a man and then became pregnant with him.

During the pregnancy, Hoi had to stay at the hospital many times due to her disease, adding more financial difficulties to her family. Meanwhile, Hoi’s father died early.

After being born, Anh Ngoc was diagnosed with her mother’s same disease.

According to doctors, Anh Ngoc needs some operations, which would be very costly. However, her family can’t afford the treatment.

On Sunday, Dantri/DTiNews Newspaper granted the donation to the baby’s family with representatives from provincial authorities as witnesses.

Le Thi Duyen, chairman of the provincial Red Cross, expressed her thanks to the assistance of the community to Anh Ngoc and many other disadvantaged cases in the province.

According to Anh Ngoc’s mother, many people have called her to express their sympathy to her family.

Hoi added that her daughter would be taken to hospital for examination every three months while waiting for the surgery.
