Dantri/DTiNews readers support poor woman in Dak Nong
Dantri/DTiNews readers have donated around VND100 million (USD4,310) to a poor woman affected by Agent Orange in the Central Highlands province of Dak Nong.
The donation was granted to Nguyen Thi Hong Thai in Dak Mil District’s Dak Lao Commune on Monday.

After an article about Thai’s family was published in the newspaper, many people made a donation. Thai will use the funds to build a new house. The Military Steering Board of Dak Mil and the People’s Committee of Dak Lao Commune will partially contribute the construction.
Thai was affected by Agent Orange after serving in Laos working on the consequences of the American War. After returning home in 1977, her health weakened. She had gone blind in one eye and is at risk of blindness in her remaining eye.
Meanwhile, her 32-year old son is facing mental problems.
Thai’s husband died of cancer many years ago.
