Vietnam’s Next Top Model 2010’s runner-up Tuyet Lan was presented with the top prize on Friday at the award ceremony for the Asian Model Talent Search held in Singapore’s LiLo Theatre.

Lan and other top Asian models captivated the judges and audience after some impressive performances on the Singapore catwalk in the finale.

A judging panel accounted for 50 percent of the final votes, while the remaining ballots came from the public.

Lan expressed her surprise and happiness after winning the prestigious prize and said she would set aside a small amount of her prize money to help several people in need.

First launched by Her World Singapore last year, the beauty contest took place from April 6 to 9 in Singapore with the participation of top models hailing from Asian countries including: Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, China, Japan, South Korea, India and Vietnam.

The Asian Model Talent Search awards its winner a USD10,000 cash prize and a chance to be trained as an international model.
