Street music hits Hanoi
A young symphony orchestra attracted great attention of music lovers with their first performance at Hanoi’s Ly Thai To garden on November 20.
The performance of young artists from Hanoi Music Academy was the first showcase for a street music project entitled ‘Toi yeu su chia se’ or ‘I love sharing’.
Even though this type of street performance is common in other countries, it is still new to Vietnam in general, and in Hanoi particular.
The orchestra will play each Sunday morning, through the end of 2012.
They also plan to expand the project to HCM City with live music, aerobic practice and other community-based activities.
