The World Music Awards 2014 nominees have been published and two popular Vietnamese pop stars – My Tam and My Linh– have nominations in three categories.

The two stars were cited among 60 other singers from the Asian region and have been nominated for Best Female Artist, Best Live Act and Best Entertainer of the Year.

This is the first time any Vietnamese artists have been nominated for the prestigious award andfans of the two stars are reportedly avidly doing their best to vote online for their idols.

My Tam’s notoriety on the world stage has been gaining in recent years.  In October 2013 she made the short list in the category of World’s Best Female Artist.

Last year, she was also voted as one of 15 international prospect pop artists in the US by Policy Micwebsite and was presented the title of Best Southeast Asia Act in MTV EMA Awards.

The awards ceremony for the World Music Awards 2014 will be held in Monaco, France on May 27.
