Vietnam Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2015 held in Hanoi on December 7-12 proved high potentials of local young designers, said a representative from a major investor of the event.

Nga Luu from the famous Elise fashion brand said that she highly appreciated this annual programme, adding that she recognised improvement from many young designers through their creativeness.

Designer Lan Huong, well-known for her ao dai collections, brought a set of hand-embroidered silk scarves.

Three fashion brands, Elise, Charming Lys and GenViet, also took part in part. GenViet displayed new insight into denim material in the company's first showing.

Mrs. Nga Luu also disclosed that her company decided to buy fashion collections of seven designers who joined the event.

Designers premiered 1,000 of their latest creations during the programme. This year’s week also drew for the first time the participation of several foreign designers, including Michele Gaudiomonte from Italy and Eric Choong from Malaysia.

Famous designer Minh Hanh said “It's a special opportunity for young talents. We expect that through the event where they have to pass many challenges, they will learn from other designers and grow."
