Ticket scalpers are targeting the Vietnam-Malaysia semi final of the ASEAN Football Federation Suzuki Cup match tonight (December 11) at My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi, with police having arrested at least five people as of late afternoon ahead of the game.

Police confiscated 32 tickets, but scalpers remain active around the stadium, charging huge mark-ups on seat prices for fans who were unable to get tickets to the match. Touts working the roadside are causing traffic delays in Nam Tu Liem District.

While fans began queuing for tickets overnight, only to miss out on a seat, scalpers have managed to get, and are selling, premium tickets, raising questions about where they got them.

As of this morning, tickets for Stands A and B were selling for VND3.5 million to VND4 million, with stands C and D fetching VND2 million, up to six times the actual cost.
