With the 2014 AFF Suzuki Cup done and dusted, the Malaysian edition of fourfourtwo.com has picked its team of the tournament, singling out Vietnamese footballers Le Cong Vinh and Pham Thanh Luong.

Striker Le Cong Vinh

"Despite being only 26 years old, Pham Thanh Luong was one of Vietnam's veterans at the 2014 AFF Suzuki Cup, having been part of the squad that won the 2008 edition. The man fondly known as ‘Little Squirrel' truly lived up to his nickname, as his rodent-like dribbling ability and bags of tricks caused many problems for his opponents. His long-range strike against the Philippines essentially summarised his performances throughout the tournament: pure magic." the website commented.

Striker Vinh was also one of fourfourtwo's choices: "Arguably the current best player in Vietnamese football, Cong Vinh was his team's main source of goals as he notched up four goals to take his overall Suzuki Cup tally to 13. He is now one goal behind Vietnamese legend Le Huynh Duc and four behind Noh Alam Shah's record of 17 in the Suzuki Cup's all-time goal-scoring chart".

The website also selected one Singaporean, one Filipino, four Thai and three Malaysian players.
