Nearly 800 of the latest works from Vietnamese designers are being showcased at Vietnam Fashion Week Fall-Winter 2015 showing off the designers’ creativity — a good sign for Vietnam’s fashion industry.

The remark was made by Minh Hanh, a leading Vietnamese designer, at a press conference at the Casa Italia, No.18 Le Phung Hieu Street, Hanoi on March 11.

As the second programme organised by the Italy-Vietnam Fashion Council, the fashion week promises to offer Vietnamese and Italian designers a good chance to discuss ideas and their love of fashion, according to Italian Vice Ambassador to Vietnam Natalia Sanginiti.

“In recent years, many exchanges and fashion shows with designers from the two countries have been held. The council will promote co-operation between the two fashion industries”, said Vice Ambassador Natalia Sanginiti.

The fashion week will be held at Vietnam Television's studio S14 in Hanoi from March 12 to 15 with the participation of 18 Vietnamese and international designers.

Each designer’s collection will reflect their unique style, such as Lan Huong with hand-embroidered silk designs, GenViet with designs and embroidering on jeans, Xuan Hao with patterns featuring Hue’s architecture, Minh Hanh with designs featuring classic space, Spanish designer Chula with designs in Vietnam’s brocade material, and Italian designer Alda Santini with designs on her hometown of Florence, Italy.

The designs reflect young, elegant, luxurious styles cut with the latest techniques and made from felt, denim, lace, and cotton — the trends for fall-winter 2015.
