Graffiti Festival to be held in Hanoi

The Graffiti Festival 2016, the first of its kind held in Vietnam, will be organised on August 28.

The event, which is part of the series Street Art Fair organised by the Hanoi Creative City since early this year, aims to educate people about Graffiti.

The Graffiti Festival 2016 also wants to create and bring the Street art community closer to each other, the organiser said on their facebook.

The festival will attract international and Vietnamese graffiti artists, including Knee Jerk, SOHO, and Phed from the UK, Bows from Thailand, and UPC, Apl21 crew, and Dung Zunk from Vietnam.

The artists will showcase their creativity on some vehicles as well as on the walls of the building. Some of them will also share their experiences during workshops on graffiti.

Beside these activities, there will be an exhibition of professional and non professtional Graffiti artists. The best 20 Graffiti paintings will be exhibited and auctioned. The money will go straight to the artist. After that, there will be 2 workshop of famous Graffiti Artist and opened for free.

The festival will open free from 9am-8pm at Creative Square and 1st Floor Hall, Hanoi Creative City, 1st Luong Yen Street, Hai Ba Trung District.
