International football tournament to kick off
The International U21 Football Tournament is scheduled to kick off on December 18 in HCM City’s Thống Nhất Stadium.

The 10th annual event, organised by Thanh Nien Newspaper, will attract the participation of four foreign and two domestic teams.
The foreign teams include Thailand, Myanmar, South Korea’s Gangwon FC and Japan’s Yokohama FC. Defending champions Hoàng Anh Gia Lai and the U21 Thanh Nien Newspaper team will represent Vietnam.
Thailand, Gangwon FC and Hoàng Anh Gia Lai are in Group B, while Group A consists of Myanmar, Yokohama FC and Thanh Nien Newspaper.
All matches will be broadcast live on VTV, VTC, HTV and SCTV.
Thailand will meet Gangwon FC in the event’s opening match on December 18.
