Giggs promises to invite Manchester United to Vietnam

Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs, who has been appointed as director of the Promotion Fund of Vietnamese Football Talents FC (PVF) youth academy, said that he would try to invite the club to Vietnam.

Giggs had a meeting with reporters on November 22 during his three-day stay in Vietnam.

He said that his and his former team-mate Paul Scholes who was set to take on a role as technical director of the PVF had many activities planned at the PVF. They saw friendly between U15 PVF and U15 Stoke City clubs and also participated in the training for young football players at the academy.

Ryan Giggs expressed his thanks to Vietnamese fans who had been at the airport to welcome him.

Giggs will be responsible for the training of football players and coaches and help build PVF into a leading football academy in Vietnam and South East Asia, with the long-term intention of developing the country into a team capable of qualifying for the World Cup in the future.
