Tet holiday book street to be opened in Hanoi
Hanoi authorities have announced a special plan for the Hanoi Book Street during the Tet holiday period.
The Department of Information and Communications and Hoan Kiem District People's Committee were asked to work together to organise the event that takes place from February 18 to 25. The opening ceremony will be held at 9.30 am on 19/12 Street.
All types of books from economic to children's books, paper books to electronic books will be introduced to visitors. There are already 16 fixed stores on the book street. The city authorities will also choose other publishers and newspapers to introduce their items or hold book signing events for their authors.
Other activities include children’s book colouring, and calligraphy and parallel sentences exchange. There is also a common reading space for all visitors.
Hanoi city authorities ordered the Department of Information and Communications and Hoan Kiem District People's Committee to work with other agencies to promote the event from February 12 to 25.
