First national intangible heritage festival to be held in Tuyen Quang

The festival introducing national intangible heritage will be held in Tuyen Quang Province from September 20 to 23 for the first time.

Love duet singing of Bac Ninh Province will also be introduced at the festival

The festival is held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Tuyen Quang People's Committee to promote traditional cultures.

During the press conference in Hanoi on September 7, the organisers said it would be jointly held with the Tuyen Citadel Festival 2018.

Artists from across Vietnam will bring various performances to the festival including gong performances of the Central Highlands, Vi Dam singing of Ha Tinh Province, Bai Choi singing of Quang Nam Province and fire dancing of Pa Then ethnic group.

Tuyen Citadel Festival will also be held from September 20 to 23 to introduce the culture and scenery of the province to promote the local tourism sector. It is hoped that Tuyen Citadel Festival will be developed into a major national festival.

Other activities include historical and cultural exhibitions and a conference about preserving and promoting intangible heritages with tourism development.
