Piano prodigy Peter Leung set for HCM City performance
Hong Kong’s (China) piano prodigy Peter Leung, a student of the internationally acclaimed pianist Lang Lang, is set to perform at a concert in Ho Chi Minh City on August 17.
In a concert titled "Peter Leung – A Piano Prodigy" which will be held at the Soul Live Project Complex in District 3, pianist Peter Leung will provide music lovers with an experience of a musical journey that will take audiences back to their childhood.
He will be performing familiar melodies from classic animated films such as “Howl's Moving Castle”, “Anastasia”, and “Loving Vincent”.
Aside from these, the young talent will also play classic piano pieces from legendary composers such as “Ballade No.1” and “Etude Op.10 No.5” by Chopin, and “Sonata Op.2 No.3” by Beethoven.
The event will be the first time that Peter Leung will showcase his talent on the Bluthner Model 1 piano, one of the world’s finest instruments.
The 13-year-old pianist is a student of the internationally acclaimed pianist Lang Lang and has won many regional and international competitions during his short career.
The concert marks the second time that Peter Leung has visited Vietnam after putting on an impressive display alongside his teacher Lang Lang during a music event in 2018.
