Dantri photography contest winners named

Dantri/DTiNews on April 8 presented awards for the Xuan Tin Yeu, or Spring Photo Contest.


Spring Painting by Tran Phuoc Thao

The contest was launched in February, hoping to further promote the images of Vietnam and its people during spring. After one month, the organiser received over 2,000 photos from photographers across the country. 16 most outstanding works have been selected for the awards ceremony.


Cu Vai Cropping Season by Tran Trung Hieu

Speaking at the ceremony, Pham Tuan Anh, editor-in-chief of Dantri, said they had received many quality photos. The photo contest was held to bring more positive energy and love to the community when the Covid-19 outbreak in Vietnam was still complicated and many people couldn't return home and reunite with their family during Tet Holiday.


Celebrating Spring with Responsibility by Le Trong Khang

"The photos we received have reflected the new year's atmosphere beautifully. The photos have shown an optimistic view for the future and touched the hearts of many people," Anh said.


Spring Happiness by Vu Minh Quan

Nguyen Tien Anh Tuan, head of Dantri's Media Department, said, "The layout and the content of the photos are very well-done. The contestants have shown various aspects of life, the joy and optimism of the present and future. Because of the competition's framework, we can only choose the most suitable works to honour."


Tet Greetings by Nguyen Huu Tuan

The first prize which worth VND65m went to the Spring Painting by Tran Phuoc Thao. Tran Trung Hieu with Cu Vai Cropping Season photo and Le Trong Khang with Celebrating Spring with Responsibility photo are co-winners of the second prizes which worth VND46m each.


Bac Ha White Plum Flower Season by Pham Bang

There are three co-winners of the third-place including Vu Minh Quang, Nguyen Huu Tuan and Pham Bang. Five consolation prizes were given to the photos with the most likes from the public.
