Many cultural events will be held in Brussels on October 4-8 with the aim of introducing Vietnam’s cinematography to Belgian people.

The activity is under the framework of the culture cooperation programme between Vietnam and Wallonie-Bruxelles and belongs to the “Vietnam Days” project in Belgium. It will be an opportunity for Belgian audiences to watch Vietnamese feature and documentary films, most of which have received international awards.

Some Vietnamese stage directors and the actress Do Thi Hai Yen will be present at the film shows. A seminar introducing Vietnam’s cinematography at the La Venerie-Espace Delvaux Centre in Brussels and an exhibition on Vietnam’s film posters will also be held.

“Canh Dong Bat Tan” (The Endless Fields), directed by Nguyen Phan Quang Binh, will represent Vietnam in the Festival international du film francophone de Namur (FIFF) on October 5.

Also on the occasion, the Vietnamese embassy in Belgium, in coordination with the Wallonie-
Bruxelles International Cooperation Agency and Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will organise Vietnamese cinematography days in the capital city.
