The Yard Dogs have long been an established and recognized name on the music scene in Hanoi and they are throwing a concert this coming Saturday, June 26 at the Cinematheque Theatre and admission is free. The performance goes from 8pm-10:30pm and is a must see for music lovers.

The event is open to the public and is an effort from Yard Dogs front-man Simon Redington to pump some pulse into Hanoi's music scene.

Cinematheque, one of Hanoi’s finest venues, will see the Yardogs reunite with members past and present to celebrate the many years and people the Yard Dogs have performed with.

It will be their last show of the summer and will include permutations of various formations of the band over the years. Names such as Vinh, Huy and Duc will start things off followed by other members of the band who will, "Appear and disappear, as if by magic," according to Redington. The mesh of music and musicians is a highly-anticipated event that is hoping to be the beginning of more regular Saturday live music action in Hanoi.

Redington also was responsible for the very successful Music - Movie - Meltdown held in May, combining music documentaries with a finale that included a live performance from the Yard Dog's. He next intends to plan weekly events at Cinematheque beginning in the Autumn.

The Cinematheque is located at 22A Hai Ba Trung Street.
