A five-year-old American Vietnamese boy, Evan Le, who have thrilled American audience with his amazing piano skills will perform in HCM City later this month.

Evan Le performed in NBC’s Little Big Shots TV show in April 2016.

This is the first time Evan has visited Vietnam where he will participate in a charity concert on December 17.

Evan Le is set to perform works by composer Trinh Cong Son. The concert will help raise fund for scholarships for students with music potential in Vietnam.

Evan Le was born in California to a Vietnamese couple. At first, his family bought a piano for his older brother to practice, but Evan began playing from the age of three.

Evan’s parents took him to the Virtuosos Russian Music Academy School of Music in California.

After only six months of studying piano, Evan entered the Vstar Kids contest - a contest for talented children of Vietnamese origin aged 6 to 15 years old in the US in July 2015. After learning about Evan, the organisers changed the rules of the contest, lowering the minimum age of candidates to four so that Evan could participate.

Competing with older children, who have studied piano, dancing and singing for many years, Evan won third prize.

His parents say they've refused repeated offers from American television producers to host him. Instead, they've only entered him into shows that suit his age.

Evan appeared on NBC’s Little Big Shots TV show for talented youngsters in April.
