As many as 300 outstanding artworks reflecting typical characteristics and styles by over 160 artists across the nation will be presented at the Domino Art Fair 2017, the largest of its kind ever.

Domino Art Fair 2017 will feature 300 outstanding artworks by 160 renowned artists across the nation.

The event will be held in Hanoi from January 20-25, on the 5th floor of the HNCC Building, No.1 Luong Yen Street, while the event in Ho Chi Minh City is scheduled from February 22-27 at Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts, No. 97 Pho Duc Chinh Street, District 1.

As the first art fair in Vietnam, Domino Art Fair aims to bring arts closer to the public. The fair’s exhibition areas are designed by each school and genre of arts for ease of access.

The fair also organises a day dedicated to children ages 6-18, to experience an art education programme known as "School Day". The open-space artists’ booths are designed to create direct interaction between artists and the public.

The highlight of Domino Art Fair is an artwork trading space, initially creating a secondary market for where artworks can be traded, consigned and exchanged, while affirming the capacity of experts at the fair in evaluating artworks’ value and transparency.

Held by the Vietnamese arts organisation RealArt, Domino Art Fair is destined to become a national brand for domestic art fairs on par with others in the region and around the world.

RealArt, established in 2014, is an initiative by its founder, painter Trinh Minh Tien, aimed at supporting domestic contemporary art development and bringing arts closer to the public, while contributing to the development of a healthy and transparent contemporary art market in Vietnam.

It is currently one of Vietnam’s leading independent art organisations, gathering reputable and renowned artists and young talents across the country.
