Memory inspires Vietnamese -French artist
The French cultural centre L’Épace will open an art exhibition entitled Cử Động Của Ký Ức (The Gesture of Memories) by Florian Nguyen from 6pm tomorrow until June 4 in Hanoi.
The 29-year-old artist is currently working on restoring memories. The Gesture of Memories was exhibited last year by the l’Institut Français in HCM City addressing the issue of the transmission of family memory.
The exhibition at L’Espace is an extension of the project begun with Vietnamese-French choreographer Sébastien Ly about gestural memory. It takes the form of a series of drawings and various in-situ installations.
Contemporary dance Beyond Absence by Sébastien Ly will take place on Saturday at L’Espace. L’Espace is at 24 Tràng Tiền Street.
