During the show, the audience will also be able to enjoy various other classical works, such as Overture, La Scala di Seta composed by Rossini, A Midsummer Night’s Dream – Nocturne (Mendelssohn), Armida Overture (Haydn), Romance for Violin & Orchestra No. 2 in F (Beethoven), Serenade for Strings – 1st movement (Tchaikovsky), Salut d’Amour (Elgar), Pavane (Fauré), Water Music Suite No. 1 in F – Minuet (Handel) and Libertango (Piazzolla)

This year’s Toyota Classical Concert, under the theme ‘Truly Classics’, is a combination of dramatic colours and classic romance, according to information released by the organisers at a press conference in Hanoi, on October 18.

The concert also will feature the participation of violist David Juritz from the UK and the artists will be under the baton of conductor Anthony Weeden, also from the UK.

The RPCO was formed in 1987 and has built up an international reputation in its own right, performing in major concert venues in the UK and around the world, from China and the Far East to North and South America. The RPCO is known for its versatile renditions of classical, light classical and popular music.

Meanwhile, pianist Hong Quang has earned a lot of the world’s musical prizes, such as first prize at the Chopin Piano Contest and third prize at the Val Tidone International Music Competition, among others. He has also performed with many famous orchestras in Italy, Australia and China.
