Miss Ocean Vietnam accused of plastic surgery
The Department of Performing Arts has asked the organisers of the Miss Ocean Vietnam 2017 to report back on accusations that the winner had plastic surgery.
"Resolution 79’s Article 19 states that contestants must have natural beauty. All beauty pageants or model competitions in Vietnam must oblige by this regulation," Tuan said.
Ngan Anh beat 33 contestants to win the crown on October 28. However, she has faced a mixed reception. There are accusations that she had her nose and lips done before entering the contest.
Ngan Anh denied lip filling accusation. She admitted that she had a nose implant a few years ago, however, she had removed the cartilage graft when she decided to enter the contest.
Vo Viet Chung, head of the contest, said Ngan Anh's lips looked unnatural because of makeup mistakes. They also know about Anh's nose job but she had removed the cartilage graft so her appearance was natural upon entering the contest.
