The festival includes contests to decorate Halloween centres with the participation of 15-20 teams from universities, spin a wheel for a prizes and play games.

The event will also be attended by famous Vietnamese comedians such as Xuan Bac and Tu Long and rock band Ngu Cung. The band will play popular rock songs and also disguise themselves into devils which will drive Jeep cars and meet with students.

A representative from the organising board said the disguise manner, particularly the way students dress, will follow set standards. Participants are allowed to wear appropriate disguises to the event.

On the sidelines of the programme, the organiser will deduct part of the money collected from the tickets to contribute to flood-ravaged households in central Quang Binh Province.

The festival would be co-chaired by the Centre for International Cultural Studies under the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Liem Tam Investment and Development JSC.

Halloween originated from a number of Western countries, including Scotland, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, France, the UK, Australia and Mexico. It has been strongly embraced by young people in Vietnam, especially students, over the recent years.
