The Hanoi Gift Show 2018 will take place from October 17 to 20 at the National Exhibition Construction Center in Nam Tu Liem district.

Handicraft products from Vietnamese and foreign artisans to be displayed from October 17 to 20.

There will be some 650 booths of 250 handicraft enterprises from more than 30 cities and provinces in Vietnam, including this year’s winners of a local handicraft design contest, and from countries such as India, Japan, South Korea, China, Nepal, Laos, Peru, and others.

The event will introduce products made from typical materials in Vietnam and Asia such as lacquer, pottery, and bamboo, in the categories of home decor and handicrafts, indoor and outdoor furniture, home textiles and embroidery, gifts and ethnic items, personal accessories, and other craft products from domestic and foreign designers.

Together with the display and an introduction of handicraft products from craft villages, artisans in Hanoi and other cities and provinces will also share their stories and provide consultancy in product design. An international workshop on handicraft products and craft villages will also be held, on new designs and sustainability.

The show expected to attract around 12,000 visitors and more than 600 importers from the US, Europe, Japan, Australia, Canada, and Brazil, thanks to the organizers’ new business links program between enterprises participating at the event and foreign importers, to help them build up networks.

Vietnam is a large and reliable supplier of home decor and gifts, with over 2,000 craft villages nationwide. Started in 2012, the Hanoi Gift Show is an annual event held in October in the capital and organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Hanoi People’s Committee. The goal is to create the best opportunities for Vietnamese handicraft, home décor, and gift enterprises to meet and establish contacts and make relationships with potential national and international buyers. This is the first time the entire exhibition space will be impressively designed in an “open” style to meet the high aesthetic levels of an international trade fair.
