First Miss World Vietnam competition kicks off
The first Miss World Vietnam has started as the country searches for a contestant for the global Miss World 2019 competition which will take place in Thailand in November.
Miss Vietnam 2016 Do My Linh and Miss Vietnam 2018 Tran Tieu Vy were named as ambassadors for the Miss World Vietnam pageant this year.
"This year, the winner of Miss World Vietnam will be selected for Miss World and next year, the winner of Miss Vietnam will have the opportunity," Dung explained.
Miss Vietnam 2018 Tran Tieu Vy of Quang Nam represented the country in Miss World 2018 in China. The 18-year-old was listed in the top thirty.
The first Miss World Vietnam will be held in July
The organiser of the contest, Sen Vang Entertainment, which holds the rights for training and sending Vietnamese contestants to Miss World, told a press conference on April 22 that Miss Vietnam 1992 Ha Kieu Anh and Editor in Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper, Le Xuan Son, were first two members of the judging panel.

The pageant’s final round is scheduled to be organised in August in the central city of Danang.
Speaking at the launching event, head of the organising board, Phan Kim Dung, said that Miss World Vietnam will help find a good candidate for the Miss World pageant as the Miss Vietnam contest is held every two years."This year, the winner of Miss World Vietnam will be selected for Miss World and next year, the winner of Miss Vietnam will have the opportunity," Dung explained.
