‘A Night of Mozart’ programme to entertain Ho Chi Minh City audience

The Ho Chi Minh City Ballet, Symphony Orchestra and Opera (HBSO) will stage a programme entitled ‘A Night of Mozart’ at the city’s Opera House on June 8 in honour of the greatest Austrian musical genius.

The programme will open with the overture to Mozart’s early opera Die Entfuhrung aus dem Serail (The Abduction from the Seraglio), followed by the Sinfonia Concertante - an exquisite concerto for violin and viola, and Symphony No. 35 (the Haffner symphony).


The masterpieces will be brought to the stage by violin soloist Nguyen Cong Thang, viola player Pham Vu Thien Bao, and HBSO instrumentalists.

The programme will be held under the baton of celebrated Japanese conductor Honna Tetsuji, Music Director and Principal Conductor of the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra.

The curtain will rise at 7pm of June 8 at Ho Chi Minh City Opera House, 7 Lam Son Square, District 1.

Tickets to the event will be priced from VND80,000 to VND650,000.
