Miss Art Asia 2020 gets underway in Danang
The Miss Art Asia 2020 pageant is scheduled to take place from July 2019 to June 2020 with the aim of discovering a number of outstanding candidates who are capable of competing in international beauty contests.
The organisers of Miss Art Asia and Asia Model Festival sign a co-operation document during the press briefing in Danang.
The first edition of the beauty contest was officially launched by Sky Media Company, alongside their partners during a press briefing held in Danang City on July 29.
The pageant will first see a cultural exchange take place among the youth of Asia between July and November in order to find contestants that can meet the requirements of the Miss Art Asia 2020 pageant.
Online voting is set to begin in December with the winners of the qualifying round of the Miss Art Asia 2020 pageant to be announced shortly after.
During the first half of next year, contestants will be participating in international cultural exchanges and tourism promotion activities throughout the nation and abroad. The overall winner of the pageant is to be revealed at the grand final which is set to transpire in June 2020.
The organizers of Miss Art Asia and Asia Model Festival signed a co-operation document during the press briefing in the central city of Danang , therefore opening up opportunities to hold global scale art events in the country with the frequent participation of Asian celebrities, including Vietnamese supermodel Vo Hoang Yen, Huynh Yen Nhi, the first runner-up of Miss Ao Dai 2016, Sornsarot Vittayaruengsook, Miss Universe Thailand 2016 Runner-Up, and Sonia Dhillon, Miss Universe Indonesia 2018 Runner-Up.
The Asian celebrities are set to serve as coaches and consultants who can assist the contestants in sharpening their communication and performance skills during the Asian pageants.
Nguyen Hai Anh, head of the organizing board of Miss Art Asia 2020, said that aside from honouring beauty, the pageant aims to set an example of charm and talent among Asian girls as a way of educating the continent’s youth.
The event provides a chance to promote the unique culture of each Asian country, and will be especially useful in helping international friends get deeper insights into Vietnam, its land and people.
