Jurors announced for Vietnam Film Festival
The names of the jurors for the 21st Vietnam Film Festival which will take place from November 23 to 27 in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province have been revealed.
Do Quoc Viet, deputy head of the Cinema Department, said, "The festival is a special event aims to promote Vietnamese cultures."
30 films will be screened for free in Hanoi and HCM City during the film week. A total of 16 feature films, 38 documentaries and 20 animated films will participate in the festival.
The judge panel for the documentary category is director Le Hong Chuong, reporter Tran Viet Van, reporter Dinh Trong Tuan, director Vu Hoai Nam, writer Nguyen Thu Dung, director To Hoang, and director Nguyen Tuong Phuong.
The judges for animated films are director Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa, musician Pham Ngoc Khoi, Nguyen Quang Trung, reporter Chu Thu Hang and painter Do Lenh Hung Tu.
The festival is expected to promote the local film industry and honour the artists who had made great contributions in the past years.
