16 free French movies to be screened online during Tet holiday
A collection of 16 popular French films will be screened online for free during the 2023 Tet Lunar New Year holiday.
The screenings, which are held from January 18 to February 18, are among activities of the French Film Festival co-organised by the French Institute in Vietnam (L'Espace) and BHD Company.
According to the director of L'Espace, Sophie Maysonnave, this year a total of 16 French movies of different genres such as documentaries, comedies, dramas, classics, and short films would be screened with Vietnamese subtitles.
This is the fifth consecutive year that the event has been organised with the aim of introducing French movies to Vietnamese audiences. The films are introduced to the audiences through online movie platforms such as VOD Danet, FPT Play, and FPT Television. Previous events attracted over one million views.
The films to be screened this year included Au Poste!, Sauver ou Périr, Plonger, Le Vin Se Lève, Selfie, Messe Basse, Les Magnétiques, Pettite Nature, Une Histoire d’Amour et de Désir, À Propos de Joan, À Nos Amours, Anxious Body, Histoire de 2 Trompettes, Nuisibles, Please Don’t Touch, and Ronde de Nuit.
