Japan-Vietnam Festival attracts people in HCM City
Many people in HCM City participated in the eighth Japan-Vietnam Festival which featured many cultural activities and 150 booths of trade, cuisine, and tourism exhibitions on Sunday.
The event was part of the activities in celebration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
A booth introducing Japanese manga attracted a long queue.
Many people cosplayed as Japanese anime and manga characters at the event.
A booth of Japanese noodles was also crowded with visitors.
Japanese beef, fresh fish, sushi, and ice cream also attracted lots of Vietnamese customers.
Vietnamese specialties were also sold at the festival.
There were many promotion programmes launched at the event.
Chairman of the municipal people’s committee Phan Van Mai said the festival not only represented cultural exchange and cooperation but also played an important role in the post-Covid-19 pandemic recovery process.
