12th National Youth Martial Arts Tournament opens in Can Tho
The 12th National Youth Martial Arts Tournament opened in Can Tho city on June 18, attracting nearly 300 athletes from 30 provinces and cities all over the country.
According to the organising board, this year’s tournament gathered strong teams from Hanoi, HCM City, Binh Dinh, Danang and Can Tho to compete in three major styles of marital arts.
The tournament is held annually by the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, aiming to encourage more young people to get involved in traditional martial arts and evaluate martial arts training in localities throughout the country.
It is also a chance for athletes to improve their skills and prepare for international tournaments.
The tournament will end on June 24.
