Local gymnast takes berth to London Olympics
Young female gymnast Do Thi Ngan Thuong has taken a berth to the coming 2012 Olympics in London.
So far, ten Vietnamese athletes, including three gymnasts, have received entrance tickets to the world’s largest sporting event.
Thuong has become the third female athlete in Southeast Asia going to London along with of Vietnam and Heem Wei Lin of Singapore.
According to the World Gymnastics Federation, Thuong and Jordan Rae from New Zealand, both provided with reserved seats for the Olympics, have just received official tickets after a number of competitors claimed to have suffered from injuries.
