The World Martial Arts Union (WoMAU) has agreed to admit the Vietnam Traditional Martial Arts Federation as an official member of the union.

Thirty-eight members of the WoMAU reached high consensus on Vietnam’s admission at the annual general assembly of the union in the Republic of Korea on September 11.

With the approval, Vietnam will be the 40th member of this world martial arts governing body.

After the Vietnam Vovinam Federation, the Vietnam Traditional Martial Arts Federation is the second Vietnamese member of the WoMAU.

In the World Martial Arts Festival held in the RoK from September 6-13, ten Vietnamese martial artists gave performances in the World Martial Park in Chungju city.

Vietnam gained 179.4 points, finishing third among the seven teams to enter the final round scheduled for September 13.

Brazil took the lead with 181.4 points and Thailand came in second with 181.3 points.
