Badminton player Tien Minh opens Vietnam’s sports year
Vietnam’s No. 1 badminton player will take part in the Korea Open Super Series Premier in Seoul, the Republic of Korea (RoK) from January 8-13.
He was placed 8th in the world after winning the championship title in the Chinese Taipei Open this year.
Entering the world’s top 10, he will be receiving VND50 million per month from the southern province of Binh Duong.
After finishing his contract US$24,000/year with Victor sports company, Minh has received a new sponsorship package worth more than US$24,000 per year from Yonex.
His important task in 2013 is to prepare well for SEA Games 27 to be held in Myanmar in November.
