Hundreds set to take part in scenic Sapa marathon
Embassy in collaboration with the local Topas Ecolodge Resort, will
take place on October 5 in Sapa in the northern province of Lao Cai.
Danish Ambassador John Nelsen said over 200
runners from more than 28 countries, including the UK, France, United
States, China, Singapore and Vietnam have registered to take part in the
event.
Organisers have announced three routes: a half-marathon (21km), full marathon (42km) and ultra-marathon (68km) which pass through the local communes of Thanh Kim, Su Pan, Ta Phin and Hau Thao, where runners can enjoy Sapa's beautiful landscape and stunning panoramas.
The ambassador praised local authorities for supporting the marathon organisation and hoped it will be an annual event.
