The press briefing on the 2017 Asia Golf Tourism Convention

The event is expected to boost high-quality tourism in the city; raise revenue; and introduce Da Nang to international friends.

This year, 650 athletes from 36 countries and territories have registered to join the convention. Especially, the event will draw the attendance of representatives from famous golf tourism companies, golf courts, and press agencies from Japan, the Republic of Korea, Thailand, Hong Kong (China), Australia, Belgium, Austria, Finland, and France.

The convention is also comprised a three-day tourism conference, an international workshop on golf tourism value; and a famtrip program.

The International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO) expected that AGTC would generate US$ 20 million in 2017 to tourism revenue for Da Nang and US$ 40 million per year in the 2018-2019 period.
