The take-off point is located on the top of Thoi Loi mountain, Ly Son island, one of the five dormant volcanoes on the island, with a height of nearly 170m above sea level.

The festival is expected to attract 100 Vietnamese and foreign pilots, mainly from paragliding clubs across the country including Hanoi Paragliding Club, Vietwings Hanoi, Dong Bac Paragliding, News Sky Paragliding, Da Nang Paragliding and Saigon Paragliding. In addition, the organising board also sent an invitation to a number of foreign athletes from Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, Indonesia and Japan.

In particular, most of the cost of meals, vacations and travel for the participants during the competition will be covered by the organising board

The festival aims to provide travellers with opportunities to see the island's beauty from above and offer a more diverse range of tourist activities.
