A wealthy man in Yen Bai Province has spent VND15 billion (USD714,000) building a large tomb for himself on a local mountain.

The tomb is built on a 500 square metre piece of land in Minh Quan Commune, Tran Yen District. His wish is to become one with nature when he dies. His solution was to build a monolithic tomb covering half of a hill. The tomb has been under construction since 2011. The plan is complete roads, street lights and a drainage system.

Surrounding the altar are 12 statues representing the zodiac made with uncut stones.
