Visitors pester HCM City zoo animals
Many visitors to the Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens in HCM City have been caught deliberately provoking animals and climbing the fences despite warnings.
Despite the electric fence at the bear yard, visitors still try to get close to the animals as much as they can. A father even carried his daughter so that both of them could stand on the half-wall. His daughter then threw a napkin inside.
Another family threw biscuits inside to feed the bears. Unsatisfied, they threw a still wrapped biscuit box to the bear to see what it would do and cheered whenever the bear could tear up the wrapping. They didn't realise that each animal has its own food and they could cause them digestive disorder.
While a crocodile was sunbathing, a visitor used a stick to poke it and kept on poking until the crocodile snapped at him. Another visitor rummaged the garbage bin to find something to throw at the animals. Bottles and bottle caps can be seen everywhere around in the lake.
Meanwhile, many people ignored the chairs and climbed the fences to see the elephants.
