The Temple of Literature is one of the most important historical sites in Hanoi but it is showing signs of severe deterioration.
The over 900-year-old site
Four pillars of Khue Van Pavilion are dented and chipped
Many decorative parts of the pavilion look like they can collapse anytime
The wooden panels are also cracked and broken after so many years
The Three Passage Gate with decorative dragons, leading to the temple inside
The gate also suffers from severe damage

The walls of the temple built since 17th and 18th centuries are tilting
