Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa from Dong Nai Province said, "My family comes to Da Lat every year but we always see the group. They persistently told us to buy strawberries from their gardens at the prices of VND30,000 (USD1.32) to VND40,000 per kilo. We feel very tired and annoyed."

In late June last year, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc asked the chairman of Lam Dong Province to deal with the problem.

Da Lat Department Public Security said they had applied VND60m (USD2,600) of fines to 60 marketers. 58 restaurants and gardens were also fined VND220m for selling products of unknown origin and using marketers to hassle tourists. Despite their efforts, the situation the problem hasn’t been resolved.
