HCM City is trying to protect residential clusters that have not been affected by the pandemic through a green cluster plan.

The city will review and set up the green clusters and closely monitor the implementation of preventive measures. Those residential clusters that haven't had any positive cases yet or do not have any new cases in a certain period of time would be eligible. The plan has received support from the local residents.

Delivery people and non-residents of the clusters are not allowed to enter these areas. They must call the customers or relatives to bring goods which must be disinfected. Most of the entrances to the clusters are completely blocked. In some places, volunteers will help guard the entrance.

Green clusters have been set up along Dien Bien Phu Street. Ben Thanh, Ben Nghe and Pham Ngu Lao wards also have many green clusters.

"I feel safer when living in a green cluster. Going in and out is a bit inconvenient but everyone supports the plan," said a resident living in Alleyway 524, Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street.
